The six working geniuses
Most work, whether it’s planning a trip or building a project, needs six different kinds of effort. Everyone finds a couple of them energising and a couple of them draining. The rest sit somewhere in between. The coloured squares on your card were each written to point at one of these six.
How they fit together
The six roughly follow the life of a piece of work. Wonder and Invention come up with ideas. Discernment and Galvanizing decide which ideas are worth it and get people started. Enablement and Tenacity carry the work through to the end. A group that covers all six is less likely to get stuck at any one stage.
What your signatures suggest
Find your name on other people’s cards. The squares you signed are a rough hint at how you tend to work. “Drawn to” squares point to the kinds of work that probably give you energy, and “less drawn to” squares point to the kinds that probably wear you out. It’s a quick game, not a test, so treat it as a starting point.
Forming your group
Look for people whose strengths are different from yours. If you signed Wonder or Invention, look for someone who signed Enablement or Tenacity, and the other way round. This card helps too. It shows who signed each colour, so you already know a few people to talk to.
Each colour appears twice: once as “drawn to” and once as “less drawn to”. Neither is better.
White squares are icebreakers, extra skills or habits, and FREE. They aren’t part of the six.

How to play
- Walk up to someone and find a square that’s true about them.
- Tap the square, type their name, hit Sign.
- Tap a signed square to flip it and see who signed.
- Someone can sign more than one square — but try to spread it around.
- Fill all 25 squares to complete a blackout.
- Then tap Blackout at the top and show your facilitator the screen.
- When your facilitator calls time, tap Time’s up — reveal to see the categories.
